There was a thick frost on the cars, the pavements and the roads. So walking very quickly was out of the question - it was *so* slippery. I slipped three times - the last time, in front of another walker (I had never seen him on my walks before) and I must have uttered several swear words without realising he was there. Oops.
Whilst concentrating on where to walk, I was watching the lovely full moon over the West and the amazing Saturn, shining in the East. Lovely. Especially when I reached the sea and saw their light over the mirror-like water. If only I had an expensive camera...
No police car this morning and the fourth morning without Mr Early.
The birds were all awake. So far this winter, the dawn chorus has consisted of a few birds who roosted near to the road lights (a false dawn?). But this morning, they were ALL singing. Is that heralding spring? Or was it the full moon that was giving out so much light fooling them? Can birds *be* fooled?
So many questions so early in the morning.
I've worked out that if I can keep the daily walks going, next Friday will be **DAY 100** Cause to celebrate I think
Take your scarf and gloves today folks. And be careful out there - it's slippy!
