Day 1 - 18 September 2010

Having decided nearly three years ago to lose weight (I was a size 22 and somewhat embarrassed by my ever-expanding reflection in the mirror), I was finding that running three times a week and visiting the gym every weekend wasn't working any more. 


As I work full time, I had to make the decision of either doing an hour's exercise before dinner every evening which to me, just wasn't going to be practical or...(gulp)...to get up an hour earlier every morning and DO something.  


I wanted to keep my evening running going and knew that I shouldn't run every day, so the only alternative for me would be to walk for an hour every single day.


I was also aware that I was starting at the beginning of Autumn...with darker, colder, wetter mornings to cope with.  Oh well.  I would look on it as character building.  Glass half full kind of girl, I am! 


So this morning's walk was a shock to the system.  It was still quite warm and once I had ventured outside, I felt really quite happy.  


It was hardly a brisk walk though....more like a stroll.  Hmm.  Must do better.
