Knowing it was going to be a bit milder this morning, I didn't find it too hard getting up at 4.55. I still wore my body warmer, but regretted wearing it half way round as I was just too warm, so I had to make do with unzipping it.
The weather is misty and damp, with only a breath of wind. But the sea was magnificent - for some reason, there's quite a swell and I took in the wonderful sounds of the surf.
The sound of the sea made up for the fact that my entire walk was taken up on 'worm watch'. The damp conditions, coupled with the mild temperature has brought them all above ground. Erghh. Pesky things. I bet they don't worry Mr Early, who behaved like his name this morning - he was much further along his usual cycling route today than usual and too far away for me to say good morning.
Dave, our 74 year old paper boy was out, collecting the papers from the delivery van. They must have weighed a ton.
No foxes this morning, although I did have a lovely ginger cat running along in front of me for a little while. The worms didn't seem to worry him.
