Day 53 - 09 November 2010

Phew. A much calmer morning compared to yesterday's storm - I even managed to miss the rain which stopped a few minutes before 4.45am. Switched my iPhone onto a Podcast of "The Now Show" and off I went.

The wind has changed direction from a south westerly to a westerly and I noticed it felt chillier than even yesterday, although it was actually a degree warmer. Mind you, the colder it gets, the faster I have to walk to keep warm, which isn't a bad thing, although this means I'm having to alter my routes to make sure I get my full hour's worth.

Still plenty of worms around *shudder* but what I did have chance to notice this morning were the clouds. They were white and fluffy against the black sky, almost as though they had a back light, even though there is no moon until nearly 11am at this time of the month.

See? That's the thing with getting to one with nature every day....you find out (and begin to notice) far more things than you ever would otherwise. A quick look at my "Planets" App to find out the moon's position also tells me that rising in the East is a whole string of planets...Mars, Mercury, the Sun, Venus and Saturn. Like a queue. Amazing.

Let's hope tomorrow is another dry walk. As I'm typing this, the rain has started again. How lucky was I?
