Day 65 - 10 December 2010

I had been made to believe by the BBC weather forecast team that this morning would feel almost tropical with +5 deg. How wrong they were. Again.

I plugged in Ricky Gervais this morning and stepped out into.......a thick blanket of frost. So thick that it crunched underfoot. I've taken a picture as it is so amazing. It's on my profile.

The temperature is -3 but there's no wind and a clear, clear sky. Perfect for walking, provided that I kept an eye on the pavements and walked in a deliberate stomping style, otherwise I could feel my feet slipping.

Saturn was shining brightly in the SE sky, in fact SO brightly that I was able to capture it on my iPhone camera. If only I had a professional camera, I could have done it proud this morning. The pic is also on my profile.

Lots of people were about this morning. I came across two other walkers - both without dogs like me, which means they were out there because they wanted to be out there.

Couldn't blame them. It really was amazing and I was very sad to see my 60 minutes were up. If I didn't need to go into work, I could easily have walked for miles this morning.

Roads are slippery, so please be careful out there
