Day 63 - 06 December 2010

Both my weekend hourly walks were fairly uneventful - in fact, they were more enjoyable as we had a relatively warm day on Saturday with some rain, which made walking much easier.

This morning was a different story altogether. It dropped to minus 5 and everywhere has a thick blanket of hoar frost on it (parked cars all look amazing) and the road has sheet ice. So for once, the pavements were actually easier to walk on compared to the roads.

A clear, clear sky with very bright stars, but I couldn't look at them for long, as I needed to concentrate on avoiding any previous puddles, which were now little ice rinks.

I was a bit annoyed at myself to have forgotten to put on two pairs of running tights...just the one pair left my legs freezing cold.

The sea was very quiet, but the birds were noisy, chirping away in the trees.

Lovely.
