Day 114 - 11 February 2011

With another wonderful podcast of The News Show playing, I stepped out into the rain. Ugh. It was very mild though, but oh, so wet. You can tell it's the weekend coming, can't you.

Fridays are always quieter than the rest of the week....I always wonder just how many people have Fridays off. I should think with all the hotels around here, there's a lot of people who work weekends, so perhaps that may explain the lack of traffic on a Friday.

Thick cloud above, so definitely no stars this morning. And with the rain, there wasn't any sign of Mr Rude Navy. (Lightweight). Mr Early was up and about though, in his bright yellow waterproofs riding his bike. A cheery good morning and an animated hand wave.

And the Belly Bins have been emptied Smile They're all flashing their blinking green lights. Crikey. I've got to get more of a life... If you catch me talking about bins again, slap me across the face with a wet kipper would you?

As I headed back towards the sea, I took in the wonderful sounds - the surf was 'up' as they say in these here parts (!) and the waves were crashing onto the beach, making a wonderful noise. I could even make out white horses further out into the bay, so I gathered the wind was coming from the south. I looked out further, and could just make out two fishing boats.

The weekend beckons. Tomorrow, I'm doing some hill work. I've got an 18 miler to do, so it's an early wake up call for me.

Have a great Friday everyone.
