Saturday - Medium Length Training Walk:
I have the Edinburgh Moonwalk (26.2 miles) to do in June 2011, so at the weekends, I am doing long walks to get my legs and knees ready for the event.
Today, I completed 12 miles of which the last 3 miles were completed at a running pace.
I will be building up to 18 miles, then 20 miles and finally, a few 25 mile walks before June to ensure I'm able to cope with walking for 6-7 hours' duration. I also need to take in some pretty hefty hillwork too. It's far too flat here compared to the hilly terrain of Edinburgh!
