It was POURING with rain, but as soon as the alarm went off at 5am, I was up and fully awake and feeling good.
With Karl Pilkington and Ricky Gervais in my iPod, I stepped outside. I had been hoping that the rain would die off within 10 minutes or so (well, the forecast said it would), so I hadnt' bothered wearing anything rain proof. That was a silly decision.
The police car passed me although I didn't see anyone else around until I was on my return leg home and I almost bumped into Mr Barky-Dog-Owner, who I don't usually see until he's down on the beach.
My entire walk was spent focussing on avoiding the earthworms...so many. I haven't seen any for such a long time as it's been too cold - but this morning, it was a worm-fest. Hundreds of the buggers. **shudder**
It was still pretty windy out there too, which gave me wonderful sounds of the sea on the way back.
I was walking very quickly this morning, so was able to go further and my HRM confirms 4.8 miles. Result. Looking forward to tomorrow's walk.
