I could scarcely believe the alarm when it went off at 5am this morning. It felt as though I had only been in bed for an hour or two. I seriously considered staying put, but knew I should get up and get out.
I'm looking forward to when I don't have to wear 2 pairs of running tights, 2 pairs of socks, 3 tops, a scarf, hat and gloves when I go out....it takes ages to get ready. Especially when I had just done up my outer jacket zip with the iPod all plugged in and then realise I hadn't put on my HRM.
Outside, it's minus 4. So quite warm then. No ice on the roads or pavements, no snow and barely no wind. Perfect weather conditions really.
There was still a mist, so I couldn't see any stars this morning. I did notice loads of cars out and about though...more than usual. I wonder why?
I bid a good morning to Mr Early on his bike (brave soul) and kept a watch out for the police car, but they weren't to be seen.
I took a different route this morning so that I could walk for a short while along the promenade to get a good look at the sea, which sounded wonderful this morning. I could just make out some fishing boats with their lights on out in the bay.
At this time of year my walk is made even more enjoyable by lovely neighbours who put on their Christmas lights early in the morning. Although it also reminds me that I have yet to do my Christmas shopping!
