Day 52 - 08 November 2010

Well.....I braved it.

Heavy rain, 23mph winds with 43mph gusts, which literally took my breath away. I decided to wear very little as I lack full rain gear. So I had my 3/4 running tights, my pink running fleece and my hi-viz cycling jacket, thinking it was waterproof.

Ha. It's not, I can tell you. However, you don't really notice how cold or wet you're getting until you get home. But you do notice the stinging face with each horizontal rain drop slammed into it.

It's also perishingly cold out there too (9 Deg). We've been used to windy but mild weather. But it's definitely not that this morning.

No police car. But to be honest, I wouldn't have seen them....I could only look down whilst holding onto my hat. I had to watch out for all the fallen down branches and wheelie-bins which were strewn EVERYWHERE (its bin day today).

But my real worry was whether the worms (so goddam many) would take off in the wind *shudder*.

The wind kept making noises like a lasso and I couldn't hear a thing on my iPod.

An hour out there. I'm sitting here with towels wrapped round me, bright red legs and a hot chocolate! Off to a hot shower now.
