Day 86 - 09 January 2011

I've really been missing my routine, so made a determined effort to get back into it again this weekend. Yesterday, I did an hour at 7am and this morning I was up at 5.30am and first of all, out for a 5 mile run (it was kill or cure!) and then a cool down hour's brisk walk watching day break.

I was amazed at how many people are around at this hour of a Sunday....but realised that most of the cars and people on bikes were hotel staff finishing or starting their days.

I also saw two foxes, a police car and lost count of the number of people on bikes. It was perfect weather - cold, but not *too* cold and a clear bright sky. I was mesmerised by Saturn in the southern sky - so bright against firstly a black sky and then on the way back, a beautiful azure blue. I took a photo, but it just doesn't do it justice at all.

Hopefully, I can return to my daily walking, which I've really missed. This 'flu has knocked me sideways, although I'm still convinced that I haven't had it as bad as others and that this has mainly been due to the fact that I walk for an hour every day which must strengthen my defences.

The wind had died down from yesterday, where the sea was absolutely amazing....the surf was coming up almost to the promenade section of the beach - I've never seen that before.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
