I was expecting a frosty morning following last night's clear sky, but it has been raining for much of the night and this morning it was a sultry 6 deg C with a 23 mph wind. Plugged into the podcasts of The News Quiz and the Now Show and out I went.
The wind was so bracing, I decided on the inland route this morning. It was extremely quiet, with none of my usual 'crowd' around. Not even a fox. Amazing to see less people around on a Monday morning than during my walk at 5.30am yesterday.
As I headed back home, I took the path towards the sea, only because I knew the waves would be good with this wind. And sure enough, they were. There were a few fishing boats out to sea and I was wondering how their night had been and whether their catch had been good.
All too quickly I was almost home and facing a day at the office. *sigh* Why don't weekends last longer?
