Day 55 - 11 November 2010

At the moment, we appear to have two choices of weather. Dry and freezing cold, or wet, windy and mild.

And as everyone will agree, today we have wet, windy and mild. But it's EXTREMELY windy down here today - 43mph windy. This means that I could hardly hear Mitchell & Webb and the majority of my walk was taken up having to avoid strewn wheelie bins and lost and dazed seagulls.

I HAD to see the sea this morning. There's this need to check out what its doing. I'm lucky enough to step out of my door and look at a new painting every single day. I've lost count of the different types of sea state...nature constantly amazes me.

The prom is again covered in sand that the council had taken great care to put BACK onto the beach a few weeks ago. They had also attached green netting to all the prom railings in a hope this would stop the sand from approaching the promenade. Oh dear. Back to the drawing board, then boys.

I decided to give my knee a rest this morning and left the weighted rucksack at home. There would be enough calories just walking into the wind.

Sadly, no stars, no planets and no glorious dawn. But it is good to be alive.

For those getting ready for work......don't risk brollies. Just take your plastic hat. The one with pink polka dots on it.
