I have to admit, I was *that* close to staying in our nice warm bed, but Mr S had a training session to do (he's running an ultra marathon in April) and as it dawned on me that today was Day 100, I got out of bed and pulled on two running bottoms, 3 tops and all the rest of the necessary clothing to protect me from 20mph ENE winds.
It didn't feel as raw out there as yesterday, but possibly because I was wearing more clothing and also possibly because I had my route planned out and was going to go further than ever this morning, but to be back within the hour.
As usual on a Friday morning, there's scarcely anyone around...Mondays are always the busiest in terms of people being out and about at such a stupid time. So I missed Mr Early (as I went a different route this morning) and I didn't see my police car. But I was able to greet a cheery "Good Morning!" to Dave, our 74 year old paper boy.
Again, it was a cloudy sky, but the sea looked beautiful. The waves were breaking loudly and they looked pure white against the pitch black sky. Again, I was yearning for a decent camera.
I was listening to a Karl Pilkington podcast this morning, all about his morning routines. It didn't sound like my one at all.
So. I raise a Smint Mint (I didn't bring cake to celebrate, as I didn't have any) to my 100 days. I re-read my first entry and that it was WARM outside.
Well...on Day 200, it will be 8th May. I'm very much hoping for warm weather on that day too.
To those who I have bored with my daily blathering...sorry. I'm not stopping. This routine, I'm sure, has made me fitter, healthier and more in tune with nature and astronomy - and appreciative of some lovely friendly neighbours.
Wonderful stuff.
