Strapped on The News Quiz before stepping outside. And good grief..........it was absolutely freezing out there.
The sky was pitch black, showing off all the beautiful stars - and Saturn, whilst the ground looked as though it was studded in millions of diamonds. If only my camera could pick up how much the paths glistened.
But it was so slippery that I had to walk/run in the road. And a slow jog was a lot safer than walking. I chose the inward route rather than the sea route, which was so cold on my face. Unusually, I didn't see a single car, pedestrian or even my police car this morning. It made me wonder whether I had got up too early.
As I got nearer to home however, I did spot a single walker, which I thought was quite unusual at this time, but it wasn't until I saw a little white dog with him that I realised it was Mr S who had come out to meet me to make sure I was safe on such a slippery, frosty morning. Lucky me.
