Monday
Walking 2 miles, Running 3 miles
Can it really be Monday again already? It was a very warm night, so I knew it would be fairly mild morning. Listening to Chris Moyles' podcast of his longest radio show record (with all the celeb guests) in my ears, I stepped out into thick fog. The temperature was 6 degrees with just 1mph ENE wind.
Just 15 minutes into the walk, it was getting noticeably lighter which is really strange for me, as I'm used to doing the whole hour in pitch black. I also found it quite amusing that the street lights were turning off one by one as I walked underneath them. What timing! Mr Early zipped past on his bike...he was busy looking at a fox in a garden to his left, so he didn't notice me.
I was amazed at how many flowers are blooming....every single garden has either flowers or bushes all in wonderful blossom. Mr Alsatian was also out this morning with his scary dog. This is good for my pace as I run just a little bit faster whenever I see him walking towards me! His dog is really well behaved though and in reality is a big old softy. He wished me a good morning as he headed towards the beach.
Given the amount of daylight as I headed eastwards on the home journey, I was really hoping for a good sight of the sea, but the fog/mist was still lingering along the coast. The sea was really still, with a slight ripple, which I think this morning's photograph just manages to pick up. Just amazingly mild, I was so wishing it was still the weekend and that I didn't have to go to work. *sigh*
Happy Monday everyone.

I've had that effect of the streetlights turning out one by one as I reached them. Great fun - shades of Albus Dumbledore.
