Friday (yippeeeeee)
60 Minutes' Power Walk
I couldn't believe how warm it is out there...if you could eliminate the rain and the wind, it would be like summer. But it was still raining a fine rain and there was definitely wind blowing . It was 11 deg C with a 15mph SW wind and 29mph gusts.
As I'm heading towards Sunday's marathon, I'm mindful of making sure that I don't trip or walk awkwardly and start off any unwanted pains. I'm sure my body is trying to get a cold, in fact its been trying all week, but I'm not having any of it.
So it was out into the dark, rainy morning. Once out though, as always, it's not so bad. Ian had already started out, so my aim was to catch him up.
In order to shield ourselves from the wind, we took the most sheltered route, which was along the high street. This means that there are far more people and cars out and about - mostly bakers and newspaper vans delivering papers. So lots to see.
I was listening to the second podcast download of the Comic Relief Chris Moyles' Show, which had me giggling throughout the entire journey. As we headed out towards the sea and back east towards home, I was taking in the scenery that I really enjoy. The cliffs, the sea and a great view of the sky. It was very cloudy of course, because it was still raining, but I could definitely detect daylight breaking.
The sea was amazing - there's a 5ft swell, which meant high waves breaking onto the beach. No doubt there'll be even more sand up on the prom.
The forecasters have promised a brighter day later, with temperatures hitting 18 Deg. How fab.
Have a great Friday everyone. And welcome April!! \o/...\o/...\o/
