Day 130 - 03 March 2011

Thursday
Walking for 60 minutes

I was back to wearing two pairs of running tights, three tops, body warmer, scarf and hat. It was absolutely freezing out there. I regretted not looking back at my pillows and staying in bed!

It was -5 with a 13 mph NNE wind. I've learned that a NNE wind actually means that you get the bitter cold blast into your face no matter WHAT direction you walk in. I had the company of Mr S this morning and we chose the least windiest route (or so we thought) but after just a few minutes, my face actually hurt with the cold and my eyes were streaming...

There was a ghostly looking mist that seemed to hang over the sea. We could hear the waves clearly, but the waves were tiny. Although it was freezing this morning, I am really looking forward to the warmer weather and being able to pop down to the beach after work with a disposable BBQ and a bottle of wine....ooooh I can't wait.

Mr Early looked as chilly as us as we waved a bright hello to him. He really did look cold. And Mr Rude Navy was out! (I was hoping he was freezing in his navy running suit.......). He appears to be starting out a bit later these days (light weight), but still completely dressed in navy blue from head to toe. He almost disappeared against the dark blue of the sky.

The mist stopped any sightings of the stars and the moon and the lighter sky was only just visible. But I very much noticed how much lighter it was last night as I left the office at 5.30 - it makes a huge difference, doesn't it?

The poor old Big Belly Solar Compactor bins are all now blinking an uncomfortable red...poor things.

Thursday already. This must be the quickest week ever. Or is that only me?
