4 miles running, 1 mile walking
Another wonderful morning. And because the sky was clear, it was definitely light over in the east from the minute I stepped outside at 5am. With The News Quiz in my iPod, I was out and taking in everything I could see. Today, it was 4 degrees with a 2mph N wind.
It's taking a bit of getting used to, walking at this time of the morning when it's almost daylight. It feels a lot later and that 'special' feeling that I have when I'm out there isn't nearly as strong. But I am enjoying the milder weather and the views of the sea are so much better in daylight!
I headed towards the long road and could see Mr Early on his way up (his cycle headlight is one of those xeon ones). I wondered if I could get away with taking his photograph as he was approaching. I did it! Mind you....he did give me an odd 'good morning' as I was snapping away. Goodness knows what he was thinking.
This morning's session meant that I had to run for 4 of the 5 mile route. However, I kept stopping to take photographs, which meant that I needed to run that bit faster to arrive at my planned point on time. I stopped to take a picture of a beautiful cherry tree out in blossom. Lovely.
There were a couple of foxes running along the coastal path this morning. I wasn't sure whether something had scared them or whether they were simply out for a morning jog...they looked really ragged though.
The moon was high up in the southern sky and it's already visibly waning (is that the right expression?) from Saturday.
No sign of Mr Rude Navy and I didn't even see Dave the paperboy this morning...but I did know that when I finally turned the last corner towards home I didn't want to stop and really did want to carry on. This amazing weather meant that I was able to run along the beach last night after the sun had set - there were lots of people out running along the prom.
Have a lovely Tuesday everyone. It'll soon be the weekend again
