Thursdsay
5 mile walk
It was decidedly nippy out there this morning - I had forgotten that the weather forecasters were saying it would be getting colder towards the weekend. They weren't wrong. It was 1 deg C with a 3mph NNW wind.
I deliberately headed out on the coastal road heading west, so that I could at least enjoy a less chilly walk back.
After my evening beach runs this week, I found my legs this morning felt heavy and it was quite hard going. I looked at my HRM when I thought I was nearing my halfway point, only to discover that I had only been out for 16 minutes!
I was listening to more News Quiz which was making me giggle all the way and being so much lighter, I was really enjoying the daybreak. The sky is blue, the moon is out there over the sea, shining away and everywhere seems to be, well...busy - even at 5am. I'm still getting used to this.
I bid a cheery good morning to Mr Early, just as I found my husband walking towards me after his running session. So we walked together on the way back home, only stopping to have a chat with Dave, the 74 year old paperboy, who we were both blaming for the colder morning. He said he had done it deliberately as he knew I had today off. Cheeky!
I have a very special friend spending the day with me today, so will be showing her my favourite haunts before having lunch at a fabulous beachside restaurant. It should be warming up nicely by then.
Have a great Thursday everyone. I know I will!
