Tuesday
3 miles running 2 miles walking
It was very mild this morning with a sultry 8 deg C although it was quite windy. I decided to take the Coastal route so that I could get a really good look at daybreak as half my journey would be towards the east.
Listening to Ricky Gervais' new Comic Relief podcast, I was surprised to see a fox jumping out literally a few feet away from me. It was obviously just as surprised to see me at that time of the morning and it looked quite guilty as it ran out of someone's front garden.
Mind you...as some of you will already know having seen my Facebook entry last night, during my evening beach walk I stood there open mouthed as I saw a pheasant running along the beach...now THAT'S a first.
I was disappointed to see so much cloud cover, which meant that I wouldn't see a decent daybreak. It was so much lighter though and I could hear the birds singing so much louder than ever before. Spring is definitely on its way.
Heading back, I was able to get great views of the sea and could see more fishing boats out towards the eastern part of the bay. And........joy of joys.......Mr Early cycled towards me, wishing me a good morning whilst giving me a cheery wave. So pleased that he's back. Well, that's put paid to my theory of him lying on a sunkissed beach somewhere. Perhaps he just had a puncture.
The sea was very loud this morning and as it became lighter, I could see how big the waves were, as they hit the sand. Lovely. It really is the best sound in the world.
Morning was definitely breaking and I had finished my running part of today's schedule and was able to take in a bit more of the morning breaking. All I needed to do was to try and remove my thoughts of work that kept creeping into my head.
Have a great Tuesday everyone.
