60 minutes gentle walk
Oh I love a Milestone Morning. I celebrated Day 200 with a glorious sunrise in amongst some fluffy clouds and a light blue sky. Perfect. It was 11 deg with a 12mph W wind and thankfully, the gusty gales have gone. Good. That's my least favourite weather. I even prefer rain to the gusty sea wind we get down here.
I wanted this morning's session to be a gentle walk as I'm trying to protect knees, hips and anything else from becoming strained, pulled or stiff before Saturday's Moonwalk.
We headed inland for a change and chose Nemesis Hill. After 200 days of walking, this demon Hill has become a gentle slope. I think the beach path hill will be my next Nemesis as I've still only been able to run up it once (it goes on forever....really!).
There was no one about this morning, which was very unusual - apart from Newspaper Boy Dave (he's 75) who was waiting outside the newsagents as it was still shut. I wonder where everyone had gone?

Sunrise at exactly 5am this morning |
I was still catching up with my Scott Mills podcast this morning. They were talking about your "train face". It's the face you pull when you're suddenly woken up on the train. Apparently, it's the same face you have when you're having a massage. I beg to differ.....
Last day of work for me today. There's a lot to do. We've checked with Fran this morning (she's awake!) to remind her that she's Foggy Sitting whilst we're up in Edinburgh. I'm very relieved to hear she hasn't forgotten. She tends to do that. Phew. That's another worry off my mind. The other worry was that we had asked our friend Mark, who's a motor mechanic (and boyfriend to Ian's boss at work) to do a once-over on our car to make sure it's all fine for the return journey to Edinburgh. But he's injured his back, so unfortunately we're only able to do the usual water/oil/tyre check. Fingers crossed.
I've been writing lists of what we're taking in the car with us and I think the easiest thing is to put everything into a small box and just load it up. I shall be glad when everything's in the car and we're ready to go. We're going to be setting off at about 3.30am. Excited!
Have a great Thursday everyone
